The preservation of the elephant species in Africa is a  broad issue that needs to be addressed throughout the world. There are past decades’ of  information and experiences that will help to reevaluate and establish a comprehensive strategy  of what needs to be accomplished. It is imperative that these efforts be implemented because it will not be an immediate resolve but rather a long term approach to the endangerment of the elephants. Through a collective effort to educate, reduce the perceived value of acquiring ivory and controlling poachers through legislation, this species can once again thrive.
